About
We are honored to welcome hip-hop legend Killah Priest to Stone Church Tuesday June 4th! We’re excited to partner with The Brattleboro Museum & Art Center who will be hosting an exhibit of the original oil paintings of John Newsom created for Killah Priest’s album- Forest of the Happy Ever After. The exhibit opens Saturday March 16th and runs through Sunday June 16th- John Newsom: Painting the Forest of the Happy Ever After. Killah Priest made his first appearances on such Wu-Tang Clan side and solo projects as Gravediggaz’ 6 Feet Deep, Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s Return to the 36 Chambers, and Genius/GZA’s seminal Liquid Swords. His contributions to those releases — especially Liquid Swords’ “B.I.B.L.E. (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth),” essentially a Priest solo track — paved the way for the release of the MC’s acclaimed debut album, 1998’s Heavy Mental on Geffen Records, and a lengthy and respected career in the hip-hop underground. In addition to his prolific solo work, he was an integral member of the groups Sunz of Man, the HRSMEN (aka the Four Horsemen), and Black Market Militia. Today, Killah Priest remains as prolific as ever, having released 13 solo albums since the acclaimed Rocket to Nebula on May 31, 2020. He owns and oversees the management of his own record label “Proverbs Records” which is constantly developing recording projects and releases for Priest independently. In addition to constantly touring, Killah Priest currently hosts his own podcast aptly called The Killah Priest Podcraft every Monday and Wednesday at 5pm PST / 8pm EST on his YouTube channel. The Podcraft offers viewers and listeners insight into a number of thought provoking topics including Ancient religion, philosophy and culture, Astrotheology, cymatics, sacred geometry, herbal medicine, natural cooking and food preparation, to name a few. As well as interviewing a wide variety of guests, such as Sophia Stewart, David Icke, Jordan Maxwell, Santos Bonacci, Ghostface Killah, Dr. Har Hari Khalsa, Zab Judah, Scarub, Flea (musician), 9th Prince, John Newsom, Ras Kass, and many more. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Killah Priest currently resides in Los Angeles, California. For further information please visit killahpriest.tv. SoloGem is a son of Killah Priest who has his debut as an MC on the track God Nature from the album Forest of the Happy Ever After. SoloGem is also a co-host on the weekly Killah Priest Podcraft.
