About
ivy room presents SATURDAY MAY 18TH — SUPER GREENS DAD’S LPS CASACHANCLAS — Doors 7:30pm / Show 8:00pm $15 Advance / $18 Door — IVY ROOM 860 San Pablo Ave, Albany • 21+ (rsvp on faceook) Super Greens is a funk/rock group based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Their sound is an eclectic mix of funk, soul, blues and rock inspired by artists such as The Meters, Led Zeppelin, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Revivalists, and Goose. The high-energy Super Greens sound is driven by the powerhouse vocals of Dave Combs and blistering guitar of Andrew Harris. The band’s rhythm section, consisting of Bill Croughan (bass) Noel Butta (keys), and John Spencer (drums), delivers a bedrock of catchy grooves. Super Greens released their first single, Life Gets Dirty, in the spring of 2023 and have been playing in front of big crowds at venues such as The Independent, Ivy Room and Boom Boom Room. Dad’s LPs is a rock, pop band with its cornerstones consisting of the powerhouse vocals of John Morales and the emotive voice of Chris Twomey. This is punctuated by Andrew Harris’ sharp guitar attack, the staccato rhythm guitar work of Jay Seals. Most importantly though, they are a band of songwriters who love to create, play, and record original music. Casachanclas is an indie rock group born in 2020 by five graduate students in Berkeley, California. The band's first album, "1849," was self-produced in a quaint enclave of Normandy Village and seamlessly blends indie rock rhythms, retro Beach Boys vibes, and a touch of doo-wop. In 2022, they released their follow-up album, "Ten Years on the Moon," a futuristic hard rock journey through time and space with ripping guitar solos and catchy hooks. The band performs regularly around the Bay Area, bringing their tunes to venues like 924 Gilman, the Downtown Berkeley Plaza stage, and more.
