Introducing the Cymbal MCP: Now in Beta

AI assistants are already helping teams write copy, analyze data, and plan campaigns. But until now, they've been stuck on the sidelines — suggesting work instead of doing it. The Cymbal MCP changes that.

What is the Cymbal MCP?

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol, the open standard that lets AI agents connect directly to the tools where work happens. The Cymbal MCP is a beta server that exposes Cymbal's event marketing capabilities to any assistant that supports the protocol.

Instead of copying campaign copy out of a chat window and pasting it into Cymbal, you can ask your assistant to do the heavy lifting: draft the email, pick the audience, send you a test, and report back on the results. When it looks right, you schedule or send it from Cymbal.

What your assistant can do in Cymbal

The beta supports the core actions that make up a modern event marketing workflow. You can ask your assistant to:

Build email campaigns, complete with subject lines, content, and targeting, and send test emails so you can check them.

Style emails and landing pages so they match your brand without manual editing.

Draft text campaigns and set up SMS automations, like abandoned cart reminders and pre-show alerts, ready for you to switch on.

Set up Meta ad campaigns from briefs like “promote this weekend's show to fans who bought tickets last year,” ready for you to launch.

Pull reports on sends, clicks, ticket sales, and ad spend so you can make decisions without switching tabs.

Query your audience segments and use ticketing data to find the right fans for every message.

How it works

Connect your MCP-compatible assistant to the Cymbal server, authenticate your Cymbal account, and describe what you want in plain language. The assistant plans the steps, calls the right Cymbal tools, and shows you exactly what it's about to do before anything goes live.

You stay in control. Every action is tied to your Cymbal permissions, and the final step is always yours: sending or scheduling campaigns, publishing pages, launching ads, and turning on automations all happen in Cymbal.

Why it matters for event marketers

Event marketing moves fast. An on-sale announcement, a sold-out post, a last-minute venue change — these moments don't wait for a handoff between tools. With the Cymbal MCP, your assistant can plan and build inside Cymbal while you focus on strategy, creative decisions, and hitting send.

It also means your team can describe campaigns the way they think about them: “Send a last-chance email to everyone who clicked the lineup but didn't buy,” or “Text local fans an hour before doors open.” The assistant builds the campaign and the audience; you give it a final look and hit send.

Beta availability

The Cymbal MCP is available in beta for teams that want to integrate AI agents into their marketing workflow. We're starting with a limited group to gather feedback, improve reliability, and add more actions over time.

If you want early access, join the beta and we'll send setup instructions as soon as your spot is ready.
